Newly Released Worker Commuting Data in Ashtabula County

The latest Census data on worker commuting in Ashtabula County shows that:

  1. 71.3% of the county’s resident workers worked in Ashtabula County.
  2. 28.7% of the county’s resident workers worked outside Ashtabula County.
  3. The average commuting time to work is 25 minutes.
  4. 93% of resident workers drove to work, with only a small percentage carpooling.
  5. The remaining 7% either worked at home, took public transportation to work, biked or walked to work.
  6. 97% of workers had either 1 (20%), 2 (40%), or 3 (37%) vehicles in the household.
