Tax breaks, low-pay jobs slowing Columbus’ tax revenue?

Columbus officials said they are doing their best to meet the needs of residents and a growing population in this year’s tight $835.2 million operating budget. The city’s revenue trends suggest, though, that tax abatements for developers and a lack of high-paying jobs are to blame for the lack of money for new and expanded programs this year.
